Primary Care & Clinical Rotations

Adobestock 322319615
Pennsylvania Area Health Education Center (PA AHEC) plays a significant role in facilitating primary care rotations, particularly in rural and underserved areas. Students gain valuable experience at fantastic teaching institutions within the PA AHEC network.

Did you know that the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM)
partners with PA AHEC to make a real difference in rural healthcare? PA AHEC works tirelessly to ensure underserved communities have access to quality medical professionals. PA AHEC connects future healthcare providers with communities that need them most. This is a core part of the osteopathic philosophy — serving those in need.
Eastcentral AHEC Rotation/Survey
To keep this vital support system running, PA AHEC needs to track student rotations to know how many future doctors and healthcare workers are gaining experience in these areas. This data helps to secure funding and resources and to continue important work.

How Participants Can Help
To assist in gathering data, participants will receive a short survey toward the end of their rotation from their specific PA AHEC region. Completing this survey is crucial — it is a direct way for students to contribute to the sustainability of rural healthcare in Pennsylvania.

Clinical rotation surveys should be completed after each Primary Care rotation within a PA AHEC region.

ROTATION SURVEY
Participants who rotate in a PA AHEC region benefit from educational support, resources, and mentorship. All responses to this brief survey helps to sustain these opportunities for future students! We understand your time is valuable, and we truly appreciate your commitment to this important effort!
